The southern entrance to the Vendicari Nature Reserve leads straight to Cittadella beach. Fine golden sand, emerald water and shallow seabeds, all in a completely wild setting. Three stone stairways lead down to different coves, from sandy grottoes to small cliffs and a long strip of sand. Right next to the beach lie the remains of a 6th-century Byzantine settlement. No beach clubs or refreshments: bring everything you need.
